iPhone… After a long wait, I caved in and got one…
I was at first against the iPhone. Well not necessarily against it, but I had no use for the features it had included when it was first released. It was a great consumer device, but didn’t make sense for any of my business clients. And even to this date, an UNLOCKED iPhone is worthless in my opinion.
Last week iPhone released their SDK to developers, along with a news of a new firmware (2.0) that will be released in June, which will allow people to install apps on their iPhone. Along with that they announced they had licensed Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, now the iPhone means business.
I can now refer this device to clients (since a majority of my clients use Microsoft Exchange)
So I caved in and picked one up for $300 from craigslist which was a damn good deal (normally $400 along with a 2 year AT&T contract).
I have since unlocked the device using ZiPhone, and have it successfully working on T-Mobile. Phone, Internet, Etc… Flawless.
I will create a post soon with the directions I used to unlock my iPhone as well as all of the settings I used to get T-Mobile and T-Mobile’s EDGE internet connection working with my iPhone…
But I must say, I’m very impressed with my unlocked iPhone. There is already a ton of applications out for it…
follow up post coming soon…
